A chief is the head of the community, which is also the traditional area of his jurisdiction.
On Thursday, March 12, 2020, Dr. Cornelius Akwasi Oteng was installed as Otumfour Amoah Sasraku IV, Omanhene (Chief of Twifo Hemang) of the Twifo Hemang Traditional Area.
Nana Mensah Abroampa, Head of the Aduana Royal family announced the demise of their overlord, Otumfour Amoah Sasraku III, putting to rest months of rumours about the death of the prominent chief.
He made the announcement at a durbar at Twifo Hemang in the month of february 2020, said Otumfour Amoah Sasraku III passed on several months ago after a short illness at the age of 80. This made Dr. Cornelius Akwasi Oteng named the next Omanhene of Twifo Hemang on Wednesday March 11, 2020.

A much-respected member of the Twifo Hemang Community, the honor of being named a chief was bestowed upon Dr Cornelius Akwasi Oteng on Thursday, March 12, 2020. As in the case with most ceremonies of this importance, it draws together most of the natives.
In attendance were Deputy Minister of Employment & Relations and MP for Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency Hon. Lawyer Bright Wireko Brobby, family Heads & sub-chiefs in the community as a display of mutual support.
Otumfour Amoah Sasraku IV pledged his oath of allegiance to the community, to serve, respect and protect it at all times and above all to uphold its traditions.
In his words, he promised to do anything within her power to promote peace among his people and ensure development as well. They did not only celebrate their day but also gave recognition to some prominent individuals, who contributed to the estoolment.
I believe His Royal Highness Otumfour Amoah Sasraku IV being selected for his unique qualities that make him an excellent representative of Twifo Hemang.
