A report from the National Population Council of Ghana (NPC) has proven that more than 9,000 unwanted pregnancies were recorded during the three-week lock down imposed in some parts of the country. Meanwhile, president Nana Akuffo Addo issued the lock down period as a precautionary measure to help mitigate the widespread of the Corona virus.
Following the lock down were several viral posts on various social media indicating that ‘most men are demanding too much sex’.
It has however been proven that during the lock down in Kasoa, Kumasi and Accra, most couples engaged in tons of sexual activities . The Executive Director of the Council revealed this in a broadcast on TV3’s pandemic show.
Dr. Leticia Adelaide Appiah made it clear stating that the lock down has skyrocketed number of pregnancies in the country in a matter of just three weeks.
